Hello, we are Various Grounds
Various Grounds Collective is a collective for art projects and gatherings that grow out of bodies, materials and relations.
Founded by artists İlke Şahin and Janset Güney, Various Grounds brings together practices shaped by sculpture, installation, and live performance. Janset and İlke have long worked through questions around the body, body politics, wounds, illness and death, bodily heritage, and memory. Their collaboration grew from shared support into an ongoing partnership and now forms the ground for a wider collective project.
We are currently interested in how surfaces, rituals and gestures carry memory: how a body remembers, how a material erodes, how a shared table or a pot of food can become an archive, knowing these questions may shift as new bodies, materials and relations join us.

Graphic designer
Dilruba Güneysu (she/her, b. 1992, Istanbul) is an Eskişehir-based hand-lettering artist whose practice draws on traditional advertising methods through forms recalling Victorian aesthetics, and she completed a BA in Industrial Design and an MA in Graphic Design at Anadolu University.
